FOOTBALL/CHEER PRACTICE FIELD AND TIMES
** Practice Begins August 15, 2011 **
Where: Kish Field, off Meridian at Intrepid at the south end of Grosse Ile near the airport
When: Monday - Friday 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (football players only, cheerleaders will not practice on Saturday).
Player conditioning begins Monday, August 15, 2011. NO player/cheerleader will be allowed to practice until ALL completed paperwork has been turned in. This includes a League Medical Form, a notarized registration form and a copy of a birth certificate on file.
For the first day of conditioning, football players should wear shorts, helmet, T-shirt, football shoes (rubber cleats no metal cleats allowed), socks, mouth-guard, and supporter with cup. Players will be instructed by the coaches what to wear the following day. Non-contact practices will be held the first week. Contact will begin the 4th day of practice.
Conditioning practices will be Monday, August 15 through Wednesday, August 17. Contact begins Thursday, August 18.
There will be a mandatory parents meeting Monday, August 15 at 7:15 p.m. on the field.
Please note that there is no practice Labor Day Weekend.

Once games begin on September 10, there will be no Saturday practices unless the game is scheduled on a Sunday.
Football players will practice in complete practice equipment every day. Players should wear a T-shirt under shoulder pads.� It is recommended that players not eat heavy meals within one hour of practice or games; however, drinking of fluids is extremely important, especially during hot days.
We ask that players arrive at least ten (10) minutes before practice so the squads get a full practice time. They will then be released at the proper time. Every minute of practice time is utilized, and if a player is late, he or she will miss something. We also ask that you be prompt in picking your player up after practice. This is very important because coaches will not leave until every player is picked up, and we all have busy schedules so please be considerate.
